It’s the most wonderful time of the year-cookie season! FarmDish Executive Chef, Michelle, shares her delicious gingerbread cookie recipe below!
- 1 1/4 cup Whole Wheat Pastry Flour
- 1 1/2 tsp Ground Ginger
- 1/2 tsp Baking Powder
- 1/4 tsp Baking Soda
- 1/4 tsp Ground Cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp Coarse Sea Salt
- 1/8 tsp Ground Cloves
- 1/8 tsp Ground Nutmeg
- Black Pepper
- 4 Tbsp Unsalted Butter (Organic), Softened
- 1/4 cup Grade A Maple Syrup
- 3 Tbsp Molasses
- 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 1 Large Egg
- Valencia Oranges (Organic), Zested (About 1/2 an orange)
Step 1: Preheat oven to 350F and line a rimmed
baking sheet with parchment paper.
Step 2: Whisk together all dry ingredients in a mixing bowl.
Step 3: Cream together in a stand mixer until
smooth and well combined. Add the dry
ingredients gradually, scraping the bowl as
needed, until fully incorporated.
Step 4: Drop cookie dough onto prepared baking
sheet and flatten with a spoon, creating 2
1/2″ cookies. Bake until firm around the
edges and centers are set, about 10-13
